I have NO idea how they will be able to fix this but am completely upset I’m stuck with my hair being this messed up until whenever they can open again. She was just completely unprofessional, had NO idea what she was doing and was only concerned with leaving! The whole time she was doing my hair she was talking about how she wasn’t going to stay late and she had to get home and make lunch for her husband, and how much her feet hurt and how tired she was. I don’t know where she saw curls but I saw NONE, and when I got home was when I was able to see how much she chopped off my hair and the weird angles she added. Well she cut more than an inch off and my hair was down to my collar bone before, then when she asked for the 3rd time if I wanted blow dry I had to remind her of the bangs, so she added them and said she’d dry my hair curly. I gave her the picture of how I wanted my hair, she said no problem basically the same with bangs, and I agreed. I was able to get an appointment before you closed because of covid-19, however while there my stylist (Trella was the name on the receipt) seemed to be rushing as she mentioned to me they were working understaffed and she wanted to make sure she left on time. She paid $110 for highlights and 6 months later she went in to get the same thing and they charged her $200. I have gone to Hair Cuttery religiously since the 7th grade but they lost my business. First of all I didn’t ask for it to be curled and was in there for over 4 hours and just wanted to go home! Just beware the prices you see online are not accurate. After she was done she said “I normally charge for curling but since you are already paying so much I won’t charge you”. I had been in the saloon for over 4 hours and watched endless customers get receipts so I’m not sure about that? The other thing I didn’t appreciate was the stylist blow dried my hair and then curled it without asking or saying anything. The thing that makes me even more suspicious is when I rang out my stylist told me the receipt wouldn’t print. She informed me Hair Cuttery was under new management and they raised their prices. I texted my friend who recently got balayage done to see what she paid and she said $200 and her hair is longer than mine by 3-4 inches.
I was blown away because in the past I have been charged $20 or even $40 for longer hair but never $120!!! She confirmed the price with the manager and offered me a partial balayage which was $270. When I got into the saloon Leslie quoted me $300 for it.
When I signed up for my value package with Leslie it had a baseline price of $180 for the color, full balayage and cut.
The reason for the two stars is the price and lack of transparency. I want to start off by saying Leslie did a great job on a balayage and color on my hair.
